Embedded Operator
Fractional CFO
from €5,500 / month
Senior finance ownership on a clock. Get board-grade numbers.
- Deliverable
- A senior finance operator in the seat: someone who owns the numbers, leads the function and answers for it, without you hiring full-time.
- For whom
- Founders who need financial rigour and investor-grade numbers without a full-time CFO yet.
- Exit
- Built to Leave. The function keeps running when the seat empties, led by your team or handed to the person you finally hire.
Where it sits
The seat is the base. The modules below are the concrete work products, each available on its own; the seat is the judgment that decides which of them you actually need.
When: the numbers need an owner before a full-time CFO makes sense.
How it works
From €5,500 per month. The base covers the seat and is set well below what the same seniority costs full-time. It scales with the scope: two days a month and twenty hours a week are not the same engagement and are not the same price. Minimum three months, so there is time for the seat to be worth having.
What it is
A senior finance operator in the CFO seat, part-time, with a defined end. Not a deliverable, a chair: the person who sits in the numbers, leads whatever finance function exists, and carries the decisions instead of recommending them.
What you get
- Finance and strategic sparring. A counterpart for the decisions that have a number attached.
- Interim team lead. Where there is a finance function, it gets led. Where there is not, it gets built.
- Due diligence support. Data room, the questions that come with it, and the answers that hold.
- Whatever the quarter puts on the table. Bank conversations, pricing, a cost programme, a system that has to be replaced.
How it ends
Built to Leave. What we build, your team runs: the models, the reporting rhythm, the automations. Founders raising a round usually take the seat alongside Raise, so the numbers in the model and the numbers in the deck are the same numbers.
Modules
The seat is the base. These are the pieces of work founders usually need alongside it, each with a defined output and each available on its own.
A P&L forecast with documented assumptions and a cost plan mapped to your actual operation, plus the scenarios for the decisions you are facing. Your team updates the model without us.
Cashflow projection, cash-need calculation and runway, built to survive investor diligence, with the logic written down so the numbers hold when they get interrogated.
A pitch storyline built on your real numbers, financial slides that survive partner meetings, and preparation for the questions that kill rounds.
One recurring finance process rebuilt as an automation in your own n8n instance and handed over running. It needs an instance with MCP; if you do not have one, the technical base is set up as part of the engagement.
All three finance modules together are Raise, from €17,500. Finance Automation needs an n8n instance with MCP; if you don’t have one, the technical base is set up as part of the engagement, scope on request.
Where this sits in the four phases.
Every service runs through the same method: shadow the live operation, design the architecture, operate with your team, then hand over.
Diagnose in your live operation. Decision logic, data flows, role boundaries. We watch how the work actually gets decided before we touch anything.
Channel logic, audience model, KPI framework, MarTech, workflow. The operating system on paper, agreed with your leadership before we build.
Operate with your team. Forecasting, media buying, automation. Enablement runs in parallel so ownership moves to your people while the system runs.
Attribution, incrementality, business impact. Then the handover cut: documentation, access, and usually the full-time leader we helped you hire.
